FAQ

Pallet Rack Uprights: common questions

How tall should my pallet rack uprights be?

Measure your building's clear height (floor to the lowest obstruction — sprinklers, lights, joists) and leave at least 18″ below sprinkler heads. Most warehouses use 8′ to 16′ uprights; we stock 7′ through 20′, and 22′–28′ frames by the truckload.

What depth upright do I need?

Standard 48″ × 40″ pallets sit on 42″ deep uprights, giving 3″ of overhang front and back. Use 36″ for shallower loads and 48″ for deeper ones.

What's the difference between standard and heavy-duty uprights?

Our standard-duty uprights have 5″ footplates; heavy-duty uprights have 7″ seismic footplates and higher capacity ratings — up to 20,867 lbs with 48″ beam spacing.
